2004 Alero Problems

I've got a 04 Alero with a 2.2L, it's been randomly stalling at stops signs and when it's in neutral, although it will start again when I turn the key. My traction control shut itself off the other day and wouldn't turn on until the car was shut off and restarted. And worst of all it randomly accelerates itself, I was on the highway with the cruise set at about a 110 km/h and hit the brakes it didn't slow down. It reved up to between 4000 then bounced between 4 -5K rpm. I put the car in neutral and coasted to a stop, shut the car off, restarted and it continued to do this. I eventually floored the gas and it stalled, then worked fine again after I restarted the engine.

No codes on the computer when I plugged it in. Any suggestions would be great.

i have had this happen to me...

when your car shuts off does the rpms go up and then down and then up and then down and then shut off?

No mine doesn't rev up and down before stalling. It just stalls, I guess it might rev a bit from 500rpm to maybe 700rpm before stalling. I've found out the acceleration part is ice build up in the PCV valve and the throttle, which frooze open and cause that.
