"91" TC rear suspension

I've read a few posts about the rear suspension, and plan to do the conversion. Found a few web sites that offer the kits too, but after reading that people found springs for 50 to 75 bucks, thought I would go that route. I'll hold off on the shocks since I only use it during the rain all of maybe 200 miles a month (I ride a motorcycle), though it's a "91" only has 80k. What I need is a part number for the springs, these parts guys down here (Tampa) don't know jack!! Is there anything else that would be needed, bushings, some type of seat for the spring to sit. What can I expect as far as how many labor hours. Thanx.

If your going to convert it, go to AUTOZONE, NAPA or an autoparts store of your choice and ask for rear coil springs for a 1991 Grand Marquis/LTD Crown Victoria. Probably can get them for about $50. Loosen the bottom shock mount and put the coils in with the isolators.

Buying the conversion kits is nothing but a ripoff. What those companies don't tell you is that every axle on the Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis/Town Car is the same whether it has Air suspension or not.
