SES (was flashing, now steady) and "Trac off"old car soundloss of powercan go 70mph but takes some work to get thereI am sure it's not the plugs or boots.. inspected and recent change... I doubt it's fuel filter as it's also been changed recently and I had fuel injectors cleaned at Walmart. one thread has me convinced its the ICM, while another says you won't be able start if it's the ICM, anyone know for sure?I broke a small piece of the plastic housing in haste to check plugs, might be the first thing I change, can a deteriorated housing really cause crossfire?I would consider changing the coil pack, but has anyone with a 2.2/2.4 actually had to do so? So far i only see theory on that.Last resorts: fuel pump, fuel injector replacement; StealershipTHoughts anybody and hurry!!!


Ps codes should be irrelelvant 300, 301-304 all mean the same crap has to be done but I will go to Autozone when I can.

I had to change coil pack it crapped out and ran on 3 cylinders barely. Once that was fixed I had to replace Catalytic it got crapped up from raw gas pumped into it. kept coding bad cat flow. also had to replace oxy sensors front and rear all fine now.



Car runs like a dream after my shop puts a new ICM in. 2 hrs for labor but most of that was diagnosing what was actually wrong.

This thread and another thread: /vbul...ght=2.2+module votes... both had resolutions for a 2.2 engine by replacing the Ignition Control Module. Perhaps we can build a case for ICMs as a common problem in the 2.2. Yes, my car still started and ran even with the ICM being bad... fresh filter, plugs; injectors cleaned recently had to help.
