rear gears
Auto Tag: MustangThats over double what it costs around here.
yeah thats what i thought, there is no way im paying some one 1,000 just to put in rear gears. how hard is it to do your self, if u get like the rear gear kit install from summit or somthing.
Its easy after you've done it. Just take your time with it. But there is alot more to it than just bolting it together.
did the 86s come with the 7.5, i thought it was the 8.8 rear end
$1,000 is way too high...I've had 'em done for $500 and $600. Shop around and find someone that knows what they're doin. And if you know a good mechanic, but he wants a couple extra bucks...do it. Don't try to scrimp too much---I know---had 4.10's put in my Mach1 and saved a buck or two over my regular mechanic --- big mistake. Guess what...my regular mechanic had to fix what the first guy f----- up. Tolerances were all wrong, wrong spacers.... it was a mess. Ended up paying twice for what I shoulda had done right the first time.
for a grand, you might as well go to the stealership
